ENTRY FEE
Entry fees are based on a player's current title and FIDE rating. Please
note that all entry fees increase by $100 after July 11th, 2008, so make
sure you enter early to guarantee yourself the lowest rate!
Please note that the tournament is limited to the first 50
entries confirmed and the maximum number of under 2100 players
is 4. Entry can only be confirmed by paying
the relevant entry fee!

FOREIGN (NON-USA) DISCOUNT!
All players listed with FIDE as a foreign (non-USA) federation will
receive a discount of $100 off their relevant entry fee.
*FREE ENTRIES
All free entries must be guaranteed by payment of a
discounted accommodation fee. Half-room accommodation,
arriving on August 11th and departing on August 16th will be
arranged for just $200, a saving off the regular hotel fee
($89/night +13% tax per night). Only by paying this fee
will your entry be guaranteed into the New England Masters.
If you intend to stay for the Blackstone Open please email
chris@chesstournamentservices.com to make arrangements to
pay the additional nights at the reduced rate.APRIL/JULY
FIDE RATING LISTS
If your April rating qualifies you for a specific entry fee,
that fee will be honored so long as the entry is received before
the new rating list is published on July 1st. If you pay a
fee based on your April FIDE rating and you would have qualified
for a lower fee on the July list, a full refund of the
difference of the fees will be provided.
For example, if you are currently rated 2295, you would pay
$299 (or $199 for foreign players) to guarantee your entry into
the tournament. If on the July rating list you are 2300 or
higher, you will receive a refund of $100 giving you an entry at
your new rating level.
REFUNDS
Free entries (Grandmasters, foreign IMs and FIDE 2500+) will
receive a 50% refund on their $200 hotel fee, if the withdrawal
notice is received by July 11th, the date the hotel rate is
guaranteed until. If notice is received after July 11th,
no refund will be given.
All paid entries will receive a 90% refund of their entry fee
if notice of withdrawal is received by August 10th. If the
withdrawal is received on August 11th or later then no refund
will be given. |
