| The New England Masters will be hosted by the
Blackstone Chess Academy, which is located at the
To Kalon
Club, 26 Main Street, Pawtucket (near Providence), Rhode
Island. BLACKSTONE CHESS ACADEMY
The Blackstone Chess Academy (BCA) is a new club that has
recently opened which holds tournaments, special events and
offers scholastic programs. The BCA strives to provide the
best possible experience for serious and casual chess players,
and the local chess community. Club-style tournaments take
place on weeknights. A typical tournament has one round per
night on the same day of the week for 4 weeks. Other
formats include one night blitz, one day rapid and the
traditional weekend Swiss. The BCA works in cooperation
with Chess Master Connections to offer a range of scholastic
programs. Programs include weekend scholastics and group
lessons by the local masters and experts on the CMC staff.
TO KALON CLUB
The To Kalon Club is a restaurant and function venue in the
heart of Pawtucket. The facilities at the To Kalon Club
are especially suited to the New England Masters with a
restaurant and bar on site as well as a billiard room and
bowling alley to enable players to relax between rounds.
The chess playing rooms are spacious and well lit.
EQUIPMENT
All chess playing equipment will be provided so there is no
need to bring your own. |
